Community Leadership
This work is guided by co-founders
Gloria Romero Roses and Ron Bilbao.
Gloria was born in Colombia and has lived in South Florida since 1979. As a small business owner she is committed to building strong communities ready for the future. Gloria has spent her career bridging business and community, leading projects that combine financial success with making a difference for neighborhoods and the people that move Florida forward. She has built and managed housing and elder care facilities. She has also led efforts that help Miamian’s pursue their freedom to be safe, healthy and prosperous through various non-profits.
Gloria knows what it’s like to be part of the sandwich generation, caring for aging parents and raising children, especially in a time of extreme weather and limited access to affordable health care. She believes that we can do better and be better by coming together to solve problems.
Ron is a born and raised Miami-based civic leader dedicated to building stronger, fairer communities through engagement, policy, and innovation. Over the course of his career, Ron has brought people together across government, business, and the nonprofit sector to advance solutions that improve daily life for families. He has led advocacy campaigns that expand access to healthcare, employment opportunities, education and civil rights. He’s worked with innovators tackling climate and sustainability challenges, and guided coalitions that strengthen local voices in decision-making.
Ron believes in the power of trust, collaboration, and persistence to transform neighborhoods. His leadership reflects a commitment to walking a tu lado — side by side — with Miami-Dade families, ensuring that every neighbor has the chance to thrive.

Hurricane Preparedness
Hurricane season is here, and how best to Move Miami Forward than by focusing on keeping Miami-Dade families safe and ready. Through door-to-door conversations, volunteers and canvassers are sharing hurricane preparedness planning resources and asking neighbors about critical needs — like support for elders, access to emergency shelters, and household resilience planning.

Every conversation contributes to a growing pool of community insight, guiding how we prioritize issues and mobilize people for the long term. We also will share these insights with key leaders in the non-profit and public sector to ensure we create connections to people and programs that bridge gaps.
